I am  giving myself permission to authentically infuse more of myself into this business. Based on my human design, allowing the world to “see” me makes it easier for me to get the “invites” that I am advised to wait on. I’m like a vampire who can’t come in unless I’m invited. Otherwise, the dreaded bitterness will set in and I will die a miserable death or something like that. Hahahaha!

That being said, here are some things I would like for people to understand about me. I am more than an entrepreneur seeking clients; I see myself as a divine being walking on a specific path. I know that there are many other divine beings walking on their path who will, at some point, intersect with my path. As a divine being (and a fairly logical one) I have to assume that some of the beings I cross paths with are there for a deeper reason.

So like I was saying…

As much as possible, I try to put as much me as I can into every aspect of this thing. I don’t use AI to create my content. I am in charge of all my graphic design and other branding. I push myself to allow my Generation X mind to learn how to navigate more modern technology. I am in the process of creating my website. I do tedious behind-the-scenes work that most people will have no clue I did. I pay special attention to details that most people won’t even appreciate. I’m slow-cooking this business.

Why?

Because I want my coaching practice to have a firm foundation.
Because it feels more authentic to me to build my business brick by brick.
Because I believe in giving my best and I like working with people who share that belief.
Because doing it this way is cathartic for me (seriously, it feels like art therapy).

I really am passionate about Black relationships. I love to see people who look like me living in harmony with one another. When I say this business is my love letter to Black people, I mean it. I don’t buy into the narrative that pits us against one another. I truly believe that we currently are all doing the best with the tools, knowledge and understanding we are. No matter how heartbreaking and frustrating it can be to see us in pain, I believe that we have come a LONG way.

How? I know I’ve come a long way and I see everyone as my reflection. I also know I ain’t the only one who is truly devoted to developing, training and improving my relationship skills.
