The reason I am blogging about this is twofold.
- I don’t know how to make many updates to my website because I paid a fancy lady a pretty penny to do it for me.
- This shit is personal for me. Extremely.
I’m huge on affirmations, because they work. I have a fairly active throat chakra and I love to speak that which is not as if. We can thank my heavily churched background for that.
One of my affirmations from a year or two ago went something like this.
“I am your favorite life coach’s life coach.”
I worked with Geneva for 90 days and it was such a wonderful experience. I love connecting with clients who “get it.” This is why I do what I do. It makes my soul smile to witness Black folx step all the way into their power. It really gives me joy when I think of all the people who Geneva will help.

If I had to use three words to describe my coaching sessions with Gozá it would be Assurance, Acceptance, and Liberation. Gozá has provided me with the utmost assurance during our time together. Her gentle nature, her attentiveness, were foundational in allowing me to trust a process that I can honestly say I don’t often allow myself to embrace!
Gozá showed me how to accept every part of myself, every facet, which held the key to me truly unlocking some of my deepest desires and guided me to understand what it means to give myself permission. Prior to working with Gozá I was really struggling on how to create the type of relationships, and business I desired. I felt trapped in a constant cycle of indecisiveness, confusion, and guilt. From a young age I was always groomed to prioritize everyone’s needs over mine, I did not know how to prioritize myself. Gozá’s sessions nourished the heck out of me, she put me in the forefront of my life, she gave me the tools and creative reflective exercises to unpack some of the thought patterns and outdated beliefs (mostly subconscious) that deeply resided in me.
It was like from week to week every session we had provided the space to peel off another layer, a space to really hear my inner voice, and connect with myself in a meaningful way. I loved the challenge, I loved seeing how after each session the very thing we dissected would now appear in my reality that same week, almost like it was the confirmation that this was the pattern that needed to be conquered.
Gozá celebrated with me, cried with me, laughed with me, got angry on my behalf when I didn’t know how to release the anger that was stuck inside. Her coaching is dynamic, it is raw, it is real, it is to the core. She shares herself in so many ways, letting you know constantly that she sees you, hears you, and feels you!
Since working together I have been able to clearly define how I want to feel and show up in my relationships, I trust my intuition, I allow my feelings and desires to take up space. I prioritize myself, thus creating experiences where I now attract relationships with people who also prioritize me. I have launched my business after fully connecting to my vision and giving myself permission to live in my purpose without shame, and guilt that once riddled my mind!
I reclaimed my internal power, and she guided me to the path of liberation and for that I am forever grateful!
I highly recommend Gozá as a coach, a mentor, an intuitive healer, a friend, a powerful and dope ass individual!
